The position of the research professorship (W3) “Public Social Sciences and Humanities: Key Societal Debates” is designed for an excellent researcher with an internationally acknowledged research profile who works at the interface between the humanities and social sciences. The professor is expected to critically examine socially relevant topics and debates (such as, for instance, populism, identity politics, social cohesion, climate justice) in academic form, and continuously share their academic insights with a broader public.
